Promotion Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. ENTRY INTO THE PROMOTION CONSTITUTES THE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THIS PROMOTION IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH INSTAGRAM.

These Official Rules apply to the Promotion: 4 lucky simmers will win a prize consisting of a box with gifts by ShopTheSims following the @ShopTheSims Instagram account, liking, commenting and reposting on the applicable post. We will select four lucky winners at random. Entries will only be accepted until February 6th at 23:59 pt.

Eligibility: To be eligible to participate, individuals must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. This giveaway is open worldwide, except where prohibited or restricted by law. Participants must have access to the internet and a valid social media account, where applicable.

Winners located outside the United States are responsible for any applicable local fees, duties, or taxes, which we cannot anticipate. Such charges must be paid in order to receive packages shipped from abroad.

Residents of the following countries or regions are not eligible to participate: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Mali, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Palestinian Territories, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and parts of Ukraine, including but not limited to the Crimea region and the Donetsk and Luhansk areas.

 Employees, representatives, officers, and directors of ShopTheSims, subsidiaries, agents (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), as well as immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of such employees are not eligible. All federal, state, and local laws apply.

Promotion Term:The Promotion begins on January 28 at 10:00 am Pacific Time (PT) and ends on February 06 at 23:59 PT. All entries must be received within this timeframe.

Winner Announcement: The winners will be randomly selected and announced on February 10, 2026. Please check our Instagram account for the official announcement.

How to Enter: Fans can enter by following the @ShopTheSims Instagram account, liking the post announcing the Giveaway, and commenting on the post with a tag of two friends. Each comment with two friends counts as an entry. Friends must be real accounts and not celebrities or famous people. Fans must be a follower of the official Instagram account @ShopTheSims. After the Term, 4 qualifying entries on the Instagram account will be randomly selected to win a prize.

•Your entry must be within the general spirit of the Promotion and meet the following requirements: 

1. Must not violate or infringe the rights of others including, without limitation, patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, publicity, privacy or other proprietary rights 

2. Must not impersonate or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity; 

3. Must not be unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another's privacy, tortuous, or contain explicit or graphic descriptions or accounts of, sexual acts, or otherwise contain any other content that is objectionable; 

4. Must not victimize, harass, degrade, or intimidate an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, or disability; 

5. Must be within the general spirit and guidance of the Promotion, including meeting the terms of these Official Rules; 

6. Must not contain an advertisement or solicitation not affiliated with ShopTheSims.

Entries using automatic appas of spam or commenting will be disqualified. Entries using multiple accounts will be disqualified. Entries will be presumed to belong to the “registered owner” of the Instagram account responding to the sweepstake promotional post. “Registered owner” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address and will apply to the email address associated with the Instagram account used to submit the entry. Entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of ShopTheSims, which are final and binding. Entries will be considered void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, damaged, irregular, altered, counterfeit, produced in error, forged, mechanically reproduced or obtained through fraud or theft, or if they contain material that does not meet the requirements described in these Official Rules.

NOTE FOR PRIVATE ACCOUNTS: If you do not make your entries public, ShopTheSims will not receive your entry.

ShopTheSims reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to refuse to accept any entry for any reason.

Completing an entry constitutes your agreement to these Official Rules. To be eligible, ShopTheSims must receive your entry within the Term.

ShopTheSims reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the prize with another of comparable or greater value if the original prize is unavailable. No transfer, assignment, or cash or other substitution of the prize by the winner is permitted. If any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be considered forfeited, and ShopTheSims will select an alternate winner from all remaining eligible entries. The Promotion Entities will not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify any potential prize winner.

Prize Notification: On or about the Drawing Date, ShopTheSims will randomly select 4 potential winners from all eligible entries received. The potential winners will be notified via direct message to the valid Instagram account that was used to participate in the promotion. The winners must respond and provide prize delivery information as well as a completed and signed affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release and submit certain personal information, including but not limited to birthday, location, and legal name within three (3) business days of receiving notice. If no response is received or a response is incomplete, ShopTheSims reserves the right to disqualify the individual selected and select at random an alternate potential winner following the same process. 

Publicity: Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize, a prize winner consents to the Promotion Entities’ use of his/her likeness, photograph, name, biographical information, entry, and/or voice for advertising and publicity purposes in any and all media worldwide (including winners list) without additional compensation or notification. The name and city/state/country of residence of the prize winner may be utilized in communications and advertising, including being posted on the websites of the Promotion Entities.

Right to Modify: If ShopTheSims in its sole discretion, determines that the Promotion or any portion of the Promotion is impractical, fraudulent, void, unlawful or if there are any technical or administrative malfunctions, errors or other problems that affect the structure, terms or lawful administration of the Promotion, ShopTheSims may terminate, cancel or otherwise modify the Promotion, in whole or in part in its sole discretion.

Limitation of Liability: By participating in the Promotion, you agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless ShopTheSims and its related companies, and each such company’s respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of or related to, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, your participation in the Promotion or receipt, use, or misuse of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) claims arising from any breach or alleged breach by you of these Official Rules; (b) claims arising from unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; (c) claims arising from technical or printing errors; (d) claims arising from lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail or email; (e) claims arising from errors in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; (f) claims arising from injury, death, or damage to persons or property; or (g) claims based on defamation, infringement of intellectual property rights, or on the rights of publicity or privacy. You further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the actual out-of-pocket costs associated with participating in the Promotion, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees. YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO ALL ENTRANTS. IF YOU ARE A FLORIDA RESIDENT, AND YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS RELATING TO CLAIMS OR CAUSES OF ACTION YOU MAY NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THIS RELEASE, INCLUDING THOSE THAT, IF KNOWN, MIGHT HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED YOUR DECISION TO ENTER INTO THIS AGREEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY FLORIDA LAW.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution: To the extent permitted by applicable law, by entering the Promotion, you agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of the Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate federal or state court located in Florida. All issues and questions concerning these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or Sponsor’s rights and obligations shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

General Conditions: ShopTheSims reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampered with the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in a disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, ShopTheSims reserves the right to fully seek damages from any such person permitted by law. ShopTheSims failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. In the event of a dispute as to any entry, the authorized account holder of the email account used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. A potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. If an entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or destroyed, the entrant’s sole remedy shall be another entry into the Promotion. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.

Winners List: A list of the winners shall be available from ShopTheSims by writing to the account via Instagram dm and requesting a Winners List. 

Privacy: All information submitted in connection with the Promotion will be maintained in accordance with the Sponsor’s privacy policy, available at https://shopthesims.com/policies/privacy-policy
